KAURI GUM MARKET. The following is the report of the gum market and ruling quotations, as furnished to us by the committee of gum merchants :— Poor ordinary £27 to £28 Ordinary £35 Good ordinary £38 East Coast ... £55 Superior parcels of good ordinary command higher prices according to quality and degree of cleaning. Pea 3 : Prussian blue, 4s 5d to 4s 6d. Potatoes : New Zealand (stale), £5 15s ; fresh ex Wakatipu, £6- Circular Heads, £5 15s; onions, Victorian, £7 5s to £7 10s. Butter: Dairy made, 6d to 7d; factory, 8d; cheese, prime, 4&d. Bacon, 5d to 6Jd. ' Melbourne, October 18. The wheat market is easier.' The latest Quotation is 2s Hid. Flour, stone made, £6 10s to £6 12s fid; roller, £7 ss. Oats, Algerian, Is Id; stout, white, 2s 24d. Maize, 2s lOd. Barley, Cape, 2s 2£d; malting 5s 3d to 5s sd.
