AN OCEAN TRAGEDY.

It will be remembered that some months ago several men were arrested and taken to Manilla for trial on the charge of murdering the captain, supercargo, and two others of the crew of the Tahiti trading schooner Niuroahiti, the bodies being thrown overboard and the name of the vessel subsequently changed by the murderers. After a preliminary examination at Manilla, the men were remanded to France, as the vessel belonged to the French colony at Tahiti. It was stated at the time of their arrest that the men were French escapees, but this turns out to be incorrect, they being Norwegians hailing from Stavanger. • The accused will be tried at Brest.
