ACCIDENT TO A MINER.
[BY TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent.] Thames, Thursday. A PAINFCL and serious accident occurred to-day to a miner named William Lang who was working a tribute block by hansel: in a portion of the Moanataiari mhe, on Messenger's Hill. Whilst engager in carrying along a leading stopo a large .'ump of stone came away, and jammed bis left leg against the wall, with the result that a comminuted fracture was sustained Lang managed to extricate himself, am." crawled out to the surface, where his cries for assistance were speedily answered. He was conveyed to the Hospital at once, whore Dr. Williams attended to the injury.
