Press A»wciation.-E!fcUic Telegrapb.-CopjxWifc Paris, June 16. ■ The French have occupied additional islands in the Gulf of Siam, and the French Squadron is preparing to blockade Bangkok, the capital of Siam* The French commander reports that the islands in the Gulf of Siam which have been occupied, are of ■ strategic importance, as they afford good anchorage and storage. The French failed to occupy the left bank of the Mekong. It is expected gunboats will ascend the Menum, on which the capital i* situated, and that the coast will be blockaded. Europeans in Bangkok are getting excited.
