■ (*T TELEGRAPH. — COEEJESPO3DEST. J Hamixto.v, Wednesday. At the meeting of the Walk*to Hospital aad Charitable Aid Board held to-day, there were present Mr. Primrose (chairman), and Messrs. Heany, Bond, Jones, Coatet, Lang, Anderson- The secretary reported that Mr. Forrest's seat on the Board was vacated, Mr. Forrest having been absent lor four consecutive meetings. A letter was received from Mr. Baldwin, secretary to the Institute for the Blind, saying that the tru*. tees had decided to receive Donald McLe<yi into the institute and taach him a trade, proTiding his father would contribute 7s per week towards his maintenance, a guarantee of which was given by John McLeod to the Hospital Board. The Board approved of the action taken in the matter by the chairman and secretary Inquiries made in Ohaupo show that nothing is known of a woman named Mary Morris and her two children, but there -warn some trace of their having lived in the Te Awamutu district some years ago. Mr. Lang said he had made inquiries and found th M nothing was known of Mrs. Morris and children at Ohaupo. Mr. T. Evam, the contractor for building the ; doctor's residence at the Hospital, wrote asking for an extension of time owing to delay caused .by the bad weather. The Chairmatr said it would be fully a month before the work was done. Mr, Jones recommended that the time be extended two months from the 15th of May. Mr. Coates said Evans had had the timber on the ground from the first, and could not be blamed for the weather. The motion was put and carried. The Chairman said he believed the house would be built in a month, and he hoped that the Board would attend at the hospital before the next monthly meeting to go over the housp ,nd arrange for any extras that may be required. J. Maxwell, of Raglan, made an application to be received into the Old Mens Refuge. Mr. Lang move that the Raglan County be communicated with informing them that a lawyer's opinion had been obtained which showed that Maxwell had a claim over his wife property, they having been married previously to a certain date.
