Press Association.— Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. London, May 9. Mb. M. Davitt, M.P. for North Meath, recently declared a bankrupt, has applied for the Chiltern Hundreds. The Daily Chronicle considers the retirement of Mr. Davitt from Parliament will cast a heavy shadow over the Irish cause.
