-O At the Opora House yesterday evening, tlio London Gaiety Burlesque Company brought to a close tho most successful throarrical season ovor known in Auckland. .And it spoke volumes for tho power possessod by tho company to attract ami amuso that tho thrcatro, in the closing night, was crowded with those whose faces had become familiar at evory ono of tho four productions. For the closo of tho season a special programme had been arranged, opening with tho first act of " Faust up to Date," and closing with the last act of "Carmen up to Data." Things were made to travel swiftly through both. In addition Miss Alice Lothbridgo gave tho newest and most graceful of all dances, the Serpentine. At eieiy appearance she and tho other ladies of the company were pelted with bouquets. Miss Alice Leamar, who has established herself as a universal favourite, convulsed everyone with her in " Susianiah" and " Tara-ra boom-der-ay." Miss Addio Conyera sang" Once" beautifully. Mr. Robert Courtnoidgo's I'm the Man that Wrote ra-ra-boom-der-ay" w.ib new to most present, but it caught on at onco, and the singer was stormed for a repetition. Both in " Monte Carlo" and tho " Bogie Man" Mr. Lonnen was in his best form, and no one would lot him go. As the curtain fell a good-bye, in the shape of three hearty chocrs, went up from the popular parts of tho houeo. Tho company leave for Wellington to-day.
