ACCIDENT ON THE KETCH LIZETTE.

At about half-past nino o'clock yesterday morning an accident occurred on board tho ketch Lizotte, now lying alongside Queenstreet Wharf, by which James Bonfcon, mate of the vessel, sustained serious injuries. The men were engaged shipping a heavy waggon, which had been taken asunder for the purpose, and it was all got safely on board except the axle, which weighs about 3cwt. This they were in tho act of hoisting off the wharf, when the strop of tho block gave way, and the axle fell on the deck, but rebounded, and fell overboard. One end of the axle tipped up and struck Mr. Bon ton over the eye, inflicting an ugly cut, and knocking him down senseless, Ho was at once taken ait, and Dr. who was sent for, was soon in attendance. By this time Bonton had recovered consciousness, and the doctor found that in addition to the cut over the eye he was also cut on tho back of the head. The doctor strongly recommended him to go to the Hospital. Bonbon objected, and wanted to be taken to his home in Freeman's Bay, but at length ho was persuaded, and Captain Jones had him conveyed in a cab to the Hospital. Mr. Bonton is a married man, residing at Freeman's Bay.
