ARRIVALS. Mahinapua, s.s.. W. J. Newton, from the South. Passengers : — Mesdames Justow, Empson and child, Evans, Baxter, Clow, Nichollas, Bisley and child, Misses Justow and Jones, Dr. Boor, Captain Coleman, Messrs. Empson, Evans. Clow, Nicholson (2), Besley, Kiugswell, Watkins, Dawson, Ziele, Williams, Shepherd, and eleven in the steer-age.'-Union S.S. Co,, agents. Gairloch, s.s., MoArthur, from New Plymouth. Passengers;— Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell, Miss Hunter, Mr. Palmer, and seven in the steerage.—Northern S.S. Co., agents. The Union S.S. Company's steamer Mahinapua, Captain W. J. Newton, arrived from Southern porta at 12.45 p.m. yesterday. Mr. G. A. Hodson, the purser, reports that the steamer left Wellington at 6 a.m. on the 24th instant, and arrived at Nelson at 4.45 p.m. on the game day ; left again at midnight for Taranaki, arriving at 3 a.m. on the 25th ; left again for the Manukau at 10.30 p.m., crossed the bar at 11 a.m. yesterday, and reached the wharf as above. Experienced fresh S.E. wind and sea from Wellington and Taranaki, thence to arrival light easterly winds with thick weather. The Northern S.S. Company's steamer Gairloch, Captain A. McArthur, arrived from New Plymouth yesterday afternoon.
