VIOLENT SCENE IN COURT. Press Association.—Electric Telegraph,—Copyright. Paris, March 11. M. M. Floquet, De Freycinet, and Clemenceau angrily denied the charges made against them by M. Charles De Lesseps in connection with the Panama Canal scandals. The latter repeated the charges and great uproar resulted, the court being cleared. Paris, March 12. M. Bourgeois, Minister of Justice, has resigned his portfolio on the grounds that the evidence given by M. Saindury, Chief of Police, fails to exculpate him with regard to the charges against Baron Cottu in connection with the Panama scandals.
