BATES OF FIRE INSURANCE.
[BY TELEGRAPH. press association.] Wellington, Sunday. A deputation of the Chamber of Commerce waited upon the Underwriters' Association yesterday for the purpose of urging a reduction of rates of fire insurance. The chairman of the Association replied that the Association desired to deal fairly with tho matter, and a committee was now engaged considering the anomalies in the rates.
