LORD JERSEY.
CAUSE OF HIS RESIGNATION.
LORD ABERDEEN LIKELY TO SUCCEED B[IM. Press Association.—Electric Telegraph.— London, January 29. The London Press states that Lord Jersey quarrelled with Sir G. R Dibbs over his refusal to knight Dr. Ren* wick, who had been recommended by the Government for a K.C.M.G.
In the event of Lord Stanley of Preston remaining at Ottawa, there is some likelihood of Lord Aberdeen becoming Lord Jersey's successor.
