The Northern S.S. Company's steamer Clansman arrived from Tauranga early yesterday morning, She leaves for Russell and the North this evening.

Yesterday morning the Northern S.S. Company's steamer Waiotahi arrived from Opotiki with a quantity of maize, etc. She leaves for Tauranga and Opotiki this evening. The Northern S.S. Company's steamer Ohinemuri arrived from Mercury Bay and Kuaotunu on Saturday night, with a quantity of kauri gum and sundries. She returns to the same places this evening. The Northern S.S. Company's steamer Douglas, from Whangarei, brought a cargo of coal. She leaves again this evening. On Saturday morning the Northern S.S. Company's steamer Argyle came out of the Auckland Graving and berthed at the Queenstreet Wharf. The repairs to her crank. Bhafc, which broke down last week, it is expected will be completed to time for the steamer to resume her usual running on Friday evening. .. •» • The schooner Waiapu is to sail for Gisborne and other East Coast ports to-day. The fine cargo steamer Mamari will leave for the South on Thursday next "■■■■;• The Auckland schooner Ivanhoe has arrived at Sydney from Melbourne. She will probably coal for this port, for Mr. Malcolm Niccol. The repairs to the barquentine Frank Guy are now completed. The vessel is to go to the Thames, to load timber for Melbourne, Captain H. McQuame going in charge. The '-. barque , Belle Isle, which put into Sydney for repairs while on the voyage from Newcastle*© this port recently,sailed again ■ on Friday, Mr. Malcolm Niccol having received a cable message to that effect. t On Friday the barque Kathleen Hilda arrived at Newcastle from this port, after a passage of eighteen days. ' The cargo steamer Maori King, which left this port on Friday morning, arrived at Wellington yesterday morning. The Union S.S. Company's Fyian steamer Taviuni arrived at .Wellington from this port yesterday. She is to go on the slip there for cleaning, and then comes onto Auckland, leaving for Suva and Levuka about Monday next. The brigantioe Peerless sailed from Kaipara for Sydney on Saturday last with a cargo of timber. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co.'a cargo steamer Rangatira leffc Wellington for Lyttel. ton on Saturday. The Melanesia!! Mission yacht Southern Cross is expected to arrive at this port from the islands, via Norfolk Island, some time during this week. The schooners Annie Hill and Torea, from the Thames with timber, both arrived at Lyttelton on the 19th instant. H.M.s. Goldfinch may be expected at this port shortly, from the South. The Government s.s, Hinemoa left Wellington on Saturday on a visit to the Northern lighthouses with stores, etc. At nine o'clock yesterday morning the Union S.S. Company's steamer Tarawera left Gisborne for this port She may be expected to arrive about the* same hour this morning. She proceeds through to Sydney to-morrow evening. Last night the Union S.S. Company's steamer Pukaki, Captain Ewan, arrived from Westport with a cargo of coal, which she will discharge into the hulks to-day. Mr. Livingstone, the chief officer, reports that the steamer left Westport on Thursday last at 1.30 p.m., and experienced fine weather and smooth sea until arrival. On Thursday, the Pukaki proceeds South at noon, and. will connect with the Mararoa at Wellington for Sydney. H.M.s. Katoomba is to go into the Calliope Dock next week for cleaning and general overhaul. It is expected that she will remain in dock for some time. The Union S.S. Co.'s steamer Janet Nicoll is due at this port, from Greymouth. tomorrow, and is to leave for Westport at two o'clock on Thursday afternoon. PORT OF ONEHUNGA. ARRIVALS. Glenelg, s.s., Austen, for Raglan and Kawhia.—Northern S.S. Co., agents. The Northern Co.'s s.s. Glenelg, from Wanganui and Opunake, arrived at 9 a.m. on Saturday with passengers and cargo. She left again at 10 p.m. for Raglan and Kawhia. The Northern Co.'s s.s. Gairloch left NewPlymouth at 10 p.m. on Friday, arriving at Onehunga at 1.50 p.m. on Saturday. The Union Co.'s s.s. Takapuna arrived at 1 a.m. yesterday. Mr. Barnes, the purser, reports that the steamer left Lyttelton at 6 p.m. on the 24th, arriving at Wellington at 8 a.m. next day; left again at 7 p.m., reaching Taranaki at 10 a.m. the following day : sailed at 1 p.m., and crossed the Manukau Bar at midnight, reaching Onehunga as above. Light and moderate wind and sea and tine weather was experienced on the passage.
