A strong wind, accompanied by drenching showers of rain, was blowing across the range. The second stage of the Queen's match was commenced this morning, and the first distance (500 yards) will probably be finished before sunset. So far, Kruse, of Wanganui, lias been shooting splendidly. Hawker, of Victoria, has won the first prize of £9 in tho second stage (500 and GOO yards) of the Queen's Match, with a score of 64 ; Kruse, of Wanganui, and Rait, of Wellington, who "made 52 each, were among the prize-winners.
