VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.

PONSONBY NAVALS. A parade of the Ponsonby Naval Artillery was held at the dfillshed last night, Captain Miller being in command of a fair muster of 43 all told. After inspection the company was pnt through a short course of formations Captain Miller reminded the corps of the parade for the reception of His Excellency the Governor on Thursday. The Ponsonby Navals were to muster at the railway station at eleven o'clock to proceed to Onehunga and form a guard of honour to receive His Excellency on landing. They would then return to town and take part with the other companies if possible in the reception in Auckland, and he would, he said, like to see as good a muster as possible. Captain Miller then reminded the parade that the time was coming on for holding their annual encampment. The previous encampments had been very useful, and had been the means of enabling a great many of their members to pass their examination.
