Sharemarkkt.— sellers 2s; Calliope, sellers Is ; Hazelbank, sellers 3s 6d; May Queen, sellers 4s ; Moanataiari, buyers 5s 9d ; Albnrnia, sellers 8s 4d, buyers 8s; Norfolk, sellers 2s 3d. < Cambria.A crushing of 179 loads of general dirt and 35 pounds of picked stone was completed for this company to-day, for the payable return of 186oz of retorted gold. Lone Hand.—J. Sullivan and party, tributers upon the Manchester reef at the low level, completed a crushing of 25 loads quartz to-day, for the poor return of 7oz lOdwt melted gold. May Queen.—The legal manager writes that he was present at the Warden's Court, Thames, from the beginning of the case Mining Inspector v. Mr. Hicks, the mine manager, on Friday morning last until midday on Saturday, when the evidence for the prosecution finished. Mr. Hicks had sufficient time to shew him a large stone from the lode, increased to a foot in size, now being driven on eastward at No. 3 level, and also to report that he expects to reach the break in about 10 feet further driving. Mr. Scott's time during the visit being wholly absorbed by attending the Court prevented an inspection of other mines. REEFTON RETURNS. [BY telegraph.— association.] Greymodth, Sunday. The following are the returns for the week :—Globe, 2060z amalgam from 190 tons; No. 2 Dark, 106oz amalgam from 59 tons; Alpine, 4510z amalgam from 420 tons ; Cumberland, 2730z amalgam from 89 tons ; Progress, 2300z amalgam from 200 tons.
