SERIOUS POWDER EXPLOSION.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. J Wellington, Friday. A settler named Peter VV'ootten, residing at Paraparaumu, entered an outhouse last night in search of blasting powder, when a spark from the candle no was carrying ignited the explosive, and he was blown out of the building. He was burned about the head and chest, and sent to town for medical treatment.
