Esam and Arthur's Weekly Report. — Potatoes : The market continues glutted; stocks heavy; 330 sacks ex Australia realised 25s to 36a 6d ex wharf, average 325; Waikatos, ex store, difficult to sell at 30s to 40s ; seed varieties are disappointing in quality, values 35s to 40s. Maize : The demand from Sydney has cleared present stocks ;ex store, 2s 9d. Oats : Very little sold during the week. Chaff, prime sample, £5. Fowl wheat has been in demand at 3s 3d, small lots, 3s 6d. Butter : Prime fresh, 10d to Hid; no second quality entered; keg butter very scarce, but little coming forward. Eggs, 6_d to 7d. Hams and bacon : Quality only medium; very prime hams, 6_d to 7d; medium, 3d to s^d; inferior, 2d. Bacon : Prime, 6d ; medium, 3id to 4|d; factory cure is in average demand. Fruit: Supplies continued very heavy both from Hooarfc and Sydney ; our sale on Thursday resulted as follows : 279 oases Ho bar apples, French Crabs, 4s 9d to 5s 3d ; Stumers, 5s 6d bo 6s 3d; Stone Pippin, 4s 9d to 5s 3d ; Pearmains, os to 5s 6d; 231 cases oranges and mandarins, ex Talune, the former 4s to 4s 9d, the latter 6s6d to7s. Poultry : Fowls, Is Cd to la 10J; turkeys, 2s 6d to 3s 8d; ducks, lis 8d to Is lOd. Mr. Alex. Aitken's Weeky Report. —Potatoes: Prime Southern, £25s to £2 10s medium., £_; in bad order, 25s to 30s;; prime kidney and Magnum Bonuin (seed), £3 10s to £4; other early varieties, £3 10s to £5. Onions : Good, Id to l|d ; prime on strings, If dto2d ; garlic, §d to 2d. Maize : In this line a good business has been done at 2s 7d ex wharf, and 2s lOd ex store ; fowl wheat sold more freely at 3s Id to 3s 3d ; bran, £4 10s; sharps, 4s sd; chaff, £4 to £5; pumpkins, 5s to 8s per cwt.; mangolds, 20s to 30s; carrots, 25s to 30s ; red, up to £2. Vegetables were sold at good prices. Butter: Prime fresh, lOd to lid; medium, 9d ; Taranaki, Slime keg lid; separator, Is. Eggs: [en, 6d to 6|d ; duck, 6Jd to 7|d. Cheese, 6d, with further strong demand. Bacon: Prime, 6d to 6_d; other lots, 3Jd to sid. Hams : Prime, 7d to BJd ; medium, 5d to 6§d. Honey: Bulk, 2f d to 3d; small tins, 3d to 3_d. Lard : Keg, 4_d ; bladders, s_d. Beeswax, 14d; biscuits, 3|<i to4d ; boiled lollies, 4d. Fruit: Heavy supplies from Sydney and Hobart. Apples, 5s 9cl to 8s 4d per case; oranges, 5s 6d to 6s; mandarins, 4s 9d to 8s {>er case; Sydney lemons, 2s 6d per case; goal, sdtoß_d per dozen; Sydney loquats, 2s fid to 5s per case; local, 2£d to 3d per lb.
