Hazelbank. —Af urther portion of Darby's leader was broken down to-day at the intermediate level, when colours of gold were again seen distributed pretty freely through the quartz, and a few pieces of picked stone were secured. The stopes upon the same leader above No. 1 level are without change. Alburnia.—There is nothing particular to; report from this mine beyond the fact that excellent progress still continues to be made with the various cleaning up works in connection with the opening up of the 70-feet level. The crushing now in progress will be completed early next week. It is shaping for a somewhat similar return as that obtained from the previous crushing. A start has been made to treat the picked stone on hand. . Coromandel Mint.The mine manager reports : Machinery working well, country good, must be making lode. Tributes in Coromandel Company's mine aro getting good gold in a reef running into the Coromandel Mint's ground, near the office; it will probably be the Pah leader. The annual meeting of the Junction Gold Mining Company will be held on the 30th September, at eleven o'clock a.m., in the New Zealand Insurance Buildings, and that , of the New Alburnia, at the same place and date, at three p.m. *m_ ■_ \mrm
