Hazelbank. —Af urther portion of Darby's leader was broken down to-day at the intermediate level, when colours of gold were again seen distributed pretty freely through the quartz, and a few pieces of picked stone were secured. The stopes upon the same leader above No. 1 level are without change. Alburnia.—There is nothing particular to; report from this mine beyond the fact that excellent progress still continues to be made with the various cleaning up works in connection with the opening up of the 70-feet level. The crushing now in progress will be completed early next week. It is shaping for a somewhat similar return as that obtained from the previous crushing. A start has been made to treat the picked stone on hand. . Coromandel Mint.The mine manager reports : Machinery working well, country good, must be making lode. Tributes in Coromandel Company's mine aro getting good gold in a reef running into the Coromandel Mint's ground, near the office; it will probably be the Pah leader.
