BROKEN HILL STRIKE.
THE CHARGE AGAINST THE DEFENCE COMMITTEE.
BAIL REFUSED.

Sydney, September 16. The Labour Defence Committee are charged with unlawful conspiracy. With the exception of Sleath and Fergusson, the members were arrested while deliberating. A quantity of books and papers were seized. Upon the news becoming known, the miners immediately held a meeting and elected a new committee. . The magistrate refused to grant hail.
