A STORE DESTROYED BY FIRE.

[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] RoTORUA, Monday. A branch store near the railway works at the bush, some ten miles from here, and belonging to Mr. R. H. Griffiths, was destroyed by fire last night. The building and stock was insured in the Northern office for £300, but the estimated loss exceeds that amount by £150. The lire is supposed to have originated in the hearth. No person was present when it commenced. Mr. Griffiths had left the store and was away fully an hour. When he returned the flames had full command. Only a few articles were saved. The building boing isolated, there was no one about to render assistance.
