Though the question of fixing the distance for the Auckland Cup will not be definitely decided until the next meeting of the A.R.C. committee, we understand it is practically settled that it will remain two miles. WAIKATO HUNT CLUB. [by telegraph.—oW27 CORRESPONDENT.] Cambridge, Monday. The Waikato Hunt Club met at Gwynnelands on Saturday, wheu there was a big attendance, one of the largest seen in Waikata. The meet took place at twelve o'clock, at which hour luncheon was provided in excellent style by Mr. Tutchen, to which all were invited and made welcome. The drag was started at one o'clock, and laid by Messrs. H. Clark and A. Gane. Starting from Mr. Tutchen's house the course led across the main road into Mr. Forrest's, thence to Morgan's, re-crossing the road near the Bchoolhouse into Clark's farm, then over the old racecourse paddock and back to the starting point, the distance being about three miles over some twenty jumps. Refreshments were again provided, and after a short spell hunting for hares was indulged in till about four o'clock. There were ,a large number of ladies present at the meet. Mr. Collins, with his camera, was on the ground, and took a photo of the gathering before and after the drag. Several spills occurred, but no serious injuries were sustained. ■ •'.
