Press Association.—Electric Telegraph.— A BANK MANAGER ARRESTED ON A CHARGE OF EMBEZZLEMENT. Sydney, July 14. McNamara, manager of the Australian Bank, which recently suspended payment, has been arrested on a charge of embezzlement. _ • ■ Great interest is felt in the matter, owing to the fact that several persons who held positions in the political world were concerned in the working of the institution, and important revelations are expected. $ SUSPECTED MURDER IN VICTORIA. Melbourne, July 13. A farmer named Cornwell died mysteriously at Warracknabeal'recently, and arsenic having been found in the body, his paramour, Annie O'Brien, and a man named Pratt, have been arrested on suspicion of causing his death.
