“MUSIC, SONG', AND STORY.”
At the City Hall yesterday evening Mr. Snazelle submitted a new and varied programme to an audience much larger than any of those that assembled last week. Mr. Snazelle was very successful in his recitation, "Gabriel Grub, or The Sexton who was Stolen by the Goblins." This was, indeed, the feature of the programme. Mr. Snazelle rendered the two songs, " The Monk " and " Travellers All," in excellent style, whilst Miss Snazelle was very successful in the song, "Dresden China." To-night Mr. Snazelle is to take a benefit, and as it will be his iast appearance in Auckland, a crowded house is to be expected. The programme which has been drawn up is a specially attractive one, containing as it docs all the gems of Mr. Snazelle's collection. Mr. Snazelle is to sing a new song entitled The Old Land and the New," the words of which have beer, written by Mr. W. R. Wills and the music by a local composer. The song is to be accompanied by a full chorus, and scenic effects will be shown of old English and New Zealand scenery.
