The Sydney Bulletin has the following " The itnesses engaged in the Deeming trial, when ordered out of court, were herded together in another corrt close by until wanted. The press-room was opposite this cave of Adullam, and some of the witnesses preferred ib to the larger and colder apartment. Hence, it was no uncommon thing on any of the four days for the scribes on returning to their sanctum after an adjournment to find Katie Rounsevell and her sister toasting their little toes at the pressfire and chatting pleasantly with two constables ovijr bread and cheese and bottled . beer."
