MINK MANAGERS' PORTS. Woodstock Uxitkd (Karangahake).— The treatment of 14 tons of free milling ore from the No. 3 lode resulted in a return of 7 ( Jo/. of melted bullion, value £2 12s 3d per ounce, realising £20,"> ISs, and the average is £14 14s per ton or thereabouts. Striking a mean through all the assays made sir.ee starting to break out this lot of ore, the value appears to be about £21 per ton. It will thus be seen that about 70 per cent, on the assay value of this ore was redeemed by pan amalgamation, and the whole of the tailings, being the residue of this lot, have been saved for subsequent treatment. At the mine the twelfth stnpo is now in progress, and north of the break there is.showing a tine body of free milling ore. Southwards of the same point, where the ore is refractory, the lode is very much disturbed at present, but some of the ore is very rich in the precious metals. Hereunder you will tind list of assays made to-day : —
