A ROADLESS DISTRICT.
— ♦ [r.Y TELEGRAPH.—-PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Donkdin, Friday. Mr. T. Mackenzie, M.M.R. for Clutha, had a conference with the city and suburban members to day with reference to Catlins district. It was stated that many of the small selectors would have to abandon their selections unless something was done to provide roads, as they had at present to carry everything on their own backs. The city members expressed their readiness to assist Mr. Mackenzie in urging the Government 'to make a road or sledge track out of the unauthorised expenditure before tho bad weather seta in.
