Tun sixth interprovineial match between Wellington and Otago was played at Dune* din on August J 9 on the Garisbrook ground, before probably 6000 spectators. 'Hie weather was nil that could be desired for football. Ota.no won by 0 points to o. The interprovineial football match, Canterbury v. Wellington, was played on Saturday, the 22nd of August, at Liuicastcr Park, Christ-church, in -the presence ot oUIW spectators. IN ot withstanding the heavy nuns of the previous day the ground was m order, a trifle heavy, of course, but woiulerfully dry and clean. The weather was favourable, a cold and bracing wind blowup' across the lield.
