A Hawke'd Bay resident went to some " herbalist," as he called himself, for a cure for an ailment. ' The result was a long and dangerous sickness, which si- qualified doctor "had to be called in to cure, and the sufferer upon getting well petitioned Parliament for compensation. The petitioner evidently supposed that people have the right to State aid if they get injured by acting sbupidily.
