The annual sale of Her Majesty's yearlings took place recently at the Bushey Paddocks. There was a scarcity of buyers, and as a consequence the young blood stock was sold at prices which would be profitable to purchasers. Twenty three lots were submitted to the hammer, twentyone being sold for an aggregate of 7350 guineas, an average of 350 guineas each. The yearling which attracted most attention was the colt by St. Simon out of Eglentyne, which was bought by Mr. James for 2400 guineas.
