ACCIDENTS.
A GDMnrooEit, named Gousson, mot with an accident yesterday in the Wuitakerei Ranges. He fell from a tree and broke his leg, and was brought to the District Hospital for treatment. At an early hour yesterday morning a lad named George Powley met with an accident while minding a cab, until the driver could secure lodgings for two passengers. The horses took fright in some way or other, and the boy got knocked down, one of the wheels passing over his arm and fracturing it. Ho was taken to the Hospital. While attending a sausage-machine, Mr. liarrett, the well known butcher, met with a nasty accident—his hand being caught by the machine, and the third finger taken •.iff from the socket, lie went to the Hospital, and his injuries wore attended to, after which he returned to his homo. Mr. John Patterson, who has retired from the contest for the Ponsonby Ward in the Municipal elections, has sustained a painful accident. In getting out of an omnibus he cut the kneecap against the step or platform, the result being that the leg is so much swollen as to prevent his going about for a few days.
