She brings a cargo of scrap iron, bones, and potatoes. Captain Pankow reports being in company with the schooner Wtviapu in Hicks Bay on Tuesday last. The schooner Saxon has been fixed by Mr. J. T. Hendry to take a cargo of coal to Picton, and return thence with produce to Auckland. • After having received an overhaul, the schooner Agues Donald is to make a coastal trip, her route being hence to Wellington, thence to Picton, and back here with produce.

THE S.S. TAUPO. Shortly after midnight the Union S.S. Co.'s Fijian packet Taupo, Captain A. 'Anderson, arrived from Levuka and Suva with a cargo of sugar and fruit. The purser, Mr. Armstrong, reports that she left Auckland at 5.30 p.m. on the 20th ultimo ; called at Russell next day and took in coal and live stock, leaving there at 5 p.m. She sighted Kadavu at 1.15 a.m. on the 26th, and arrived at Suva at 11.30 a.m. the same day. On the 27th she towed into Suva the barque Jumna, from Calcutta, with coolie labour, and 011 the2Sth proceeded to Navua and took in a quantity of sugar. Returning to Suva the same day she left again at midnight, and arrived at Levuka at 7.30 a.m., on the 29th, she got away at 7 a.m. on the 30th, and reached Navua on the same afternoon. She took in more sugar, and returned to Suva at 6 a.m. on the 31st. She. towed out to sea the barque Jumna, bound for Calcutta with return labour; and on the Ist inst. completed her loading with fruit, etc. Taking her departure at 2 p.m., she passed Kadavu at 11 p.m. the same day, sighted Cape Brett at 8 a.m. on the7th inst, passed the Hen and Chickens at 4.30 m. yesterday, and Tiri at 10 p.m., arriving as above. Irorn Mew Zealand to Fiji the Taupo had fair southerly winds, and fine weather, but on the return journey experienced southerly winds and head seas throughout.
