As amongst the consignments are several considerable ones of dynamite and gunpowder the vessel did not come up near the wharves last night, but dropped anchor at the powder ■ ground off St/ George's Bay, where she will transfer her explosives into lighters to-day, and probably come up and berth at the main pier to-morrow. The Piako left London on April 23rd last, and alter having fresh'winds down the Channels picked up the trades in due course. These were moderately jgjitod. 'and the vessel got down to the longitude of the Cape of Good Hope in good time. In crossing the Southern Ocean to run down her easting about the parallel of 44" S., the vessel met a lot of heavy weather, with high : seas. Frequent gales with rain pre-, vailed, but she came through without mishap. The Three Kings were signted on Saturday last, and the Cavallis were abreast on Sunday. The tug Eagle picked up the ship outside Tiri last evening, and brought her into port as above.
