IMPORTANT AMALGAMATION SCHEME.
A meeting of delegates and representatives from the Flying Cloud, Junction, Mountain Flower, Freedom, Alfred, Coliban, and Leopold, all adjacent claims, situated in Moanabaiari Creek, Thames, was hold yesterday, in the brokers' room, Exchange Buildings, with a view to consideringthe advisability of amalgamation. Mr. A. Porter presided, and amongst those present were : Colonel Burton, Messrs. T. Morrin, K. Spratt, D. B. McDonald, W. Hellaby, C. C. McMillan, A. Clark, W. Gorrie, A. Kidd, S. T. George, and a number of other gentlemen. Mr. D. G. MacDonnell officiated as secretary. On the motion of Mr. Morrin, seconded by Mr. George, it was agreed " That in the opinion of this meeting of delegates present, ib is advisable that a company be formed for the purpose of taking over and working the following licensed holdings :—Flying Cloud, Freedom, Coliban, Mountain Flower, Waitemata, Alfred, Leopold and Junction, or such of them as may agree to the terms that may be proposed." The second resolution was proposed by Mr. Kidd, eeconded by Mr. Spratt, and adopted as follows : —" That a company be formed with a capital of £25,000, divided into 100,000 shares of 5s each, paid up to Is per share, of which 10,000 will be allotted bo each company on bhe respective properties being handed over to the new company free from all liabilities." It was further resolved, " That the directors of the various companies be requested to call a meeting of their shareholders at the earliest possible dabo, for the purpose of submitting to them for their approval the foregoing resolutions." A vote oL thanks to the chairman closed the meeting.
