In the House of Lords to-day Lord Brassey questioned the Secretary of State,foe the Colonies on the advisability of setting up an Imperial Coramission to report on the defences of the colonies. Lord Knutsford, in reply, said that the report of the Commission would be of little value unless supported by the evidence of authorised colonial statesmen.
