A MAORI FOUND DEAD.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT.] 4 . i "Thames," Sunday. An old Maori named Phillips was found dead in his whare at Waiomo, on the Tapu Road, yesterday morning, by Mr. Trotter, a settler living close by. lb appeared that deceased had occupied a whare by himself at Waiomo, for many years past, and had been ill for a considerable time prior to ms death, but had no medical aid. Hence tho police reported tho circumstances to Mr. Haselden, coroner, who will hold an inquest to-morrow. -v- - - k ■■ ■
