It is believed that the Mexican authorities were frightened: by the presence of the Chilian .insurgent warship Esmeralda in the port of Acapiilco; and thus permitted her to coal. - The insurgents ,threaten to bombard Valparaiso, out it is expected that the United ' States, 1: Great ,' Britain, ' and other Powers, will step in to prevent it.
