' The police have made a _ raid on several tobacconists shops in town where suspected gambling was carried on, and arrested thirty-five persons. A TASMANIAN TRAGEDY. Hob art, April 14. A horrible murder is reported from Sandy Bay.' A man named Quamley in a fit of jealousy cut off' the head of a widow named Davidson with a carving knife, and then inflicted serious wounds on himself, which it is believed will prove fatal.
