THE KAKANUI RELIEF FUND.
[by telegraph.—press association.] Dunedin, Friday. The Kakanui Relief Fund Committee have adopted a report drawn up by a sub-com-mittee, in which a plan was proposed for allocating the fund on tho basis of £1980 being collected under it. A certain sum is put down for each, ranging from £319 for Mrs. Nordeen and £297 for Morgan's children to £16 10s for Mr. Cowan. Cash is to be paid to Mrs. Best and others, while the allowance of others will be given in weekly payments, which will expire in about eight years. A trust deed is to be prepared. The fund will thus exhaust itself. If there is any more received, ib will be divided \wo rata among those receiving weekly relief. .
