AUCKLAND TATTERS ALL'S MEETING The race meeting held annually under the auspices of the Auckland Tattersall's Club will be held on the Takapuna course on Saturday next. There are seven events on the programme, which have all filled up well, and as the return fare (including admission to the course) has been fixed at one shilling, there should, if the weather proves fine, be a large attendance. The first event will be started at half-past one.

NEW ZEALAND TROTTING ASSOCIATION. [BY mleqraph.— press ASSOCIATION.] Chrxstchurcils Tuesday. The New Zealand Trotting Association to-night refused the application of the Canterbury Plumpton Parle Company for affiliation as a trotting club, on the ground that there were already enough clubs holding trotting meetings in the neighbourhood of Christchurch in proportion to the population.

The six-year-old gelding Lonely has passed into the hands of Mr. John Rae, who, it is understood has become his owner.

Acceptances in connection with the Avondale meeting close with the secretary on Friday night, at eight o'clock.

Captain Edwin forecasts heavy northerly gales, changing by west and southwest between noon of the Bth and noon of the 12th. There are evidences of the approach of a period of unsettled and windy weather.
