In the cricket match, to-day, between Wellington and Canterbury representatives, Blacklock and Moorhouse carried the total to within ono of the number required, when Blacklock was bowled. In the next over Moorhouse made the winning hit. The score was as follows :— Wellington Second Innings. R. Blacklock, b Labatt ... . ; • ... 2 A. Blacklock, bT. D. Harman .. 20 Moorhouse, not out ... ... ... . . 37 Taylor, not out .. .. ... 0 Extras ... ' ... . ... ... 4 Total for 8 wickets ...... 63 A single-innings match between Canterbury and Wellington, ia the afternoon, resulted in another victory for the local team, this time by three wickets and 13 runs. Canterbury scored 10(3, to which Wellington responded with 119 for' the loss of seven wickets.
