London, March 24. In the House of Commons to-day Mr. Howard Vincent, M.P. for Sheffield, asked a question regarding the establishment of a British Zollvereiu. In reply Sir Michael Hicks-Beach, President of the Board of Trade, said the Belgian treaties secured great advantages to Britain, and it was useless to renounce them until the country was prepared to adopt an alternative policy.
