DUNEDIN OATS. DnNEDI.v, February 4.There is little change in the market. Considerable shipments are loading here and at the Buff for home by recent steamers and sailers. Stocks in consequence are being reduced, still buyers do not seem inclined to advance upon the recently ruling quotations. At auction, Is 5Jd was the best price obtainable for prime feed, although privately a little more could be secured. Shippers for Australia are unable to purchase at the prices lately obtaining, and in view of the near approach of the harvest, the hopes once held that prices would bo higher must now be abandoned. Stout liricht feed and milling Is Gti to Is 6sd ; for extra medium to good, Is 5d to is 'Ad : inferior to medium, Is 3d to Is 4d (ex store, sacks extra).

MANAIA. TheEgmont Farmers' Union, Limited, report: —At our llawera sale held in the Glover Road Yards on the 28th January only a moderate supply of cattle came forward, consisting chiefly of stock from 2 years and upwards, most of which were of good quality. An extra large number of sheep and lambs were yarded, there being over 2000 brought forward for sale, most of which were very choice, as our prices denote. The tendance was not large, but the bidding was vary lively, and every line elicited keen competition, only one pen of steers remaining unsold at the close of the sale. We quote prices as under :— Fo ward 3-year-old bullocks, £3 18s to £4 Ts Oil ; 2to 2* yea* old stoers, £217s to £3 5s ; fat cows and heifers, £2 17s to £3 2s ; empty cows, £2 ids. Sheep : FullnKuithed ewes. 7s ; store hoggets, mixed sexes, Ss 4d to 9s ; 4-tooth ewes, 9s lid ; wethers, freezers, 10s (id ; -lambs, culls, 4s 4d ; lambs, good woolly, 7s 6d to Ss 3d.
