MASONIC.

There was a largo attendance of lodge members and visiting brethren at the regular meeting of Lodge St. Andrew, S.C., on .Monday night, and amongst tho.-c present were the 1). P.G.M. of the Scotch Constitution and his officers, and the D.G.M. of the English Constitution and his officers, besides representatives of the various recognised lodges of the district and colony. The principal business was the installation of officers for the ensuing year. Brother WeCullough, D. P.G.M., officiated as installing master, and was assisted by Brothers W. Anderson, P.M., and .J. I*. Clark, P.M. The ceremonies were most impressively conducted, and the following brethren were duly installed :—R. W. M., Brother F. Could, P.M.; i).M., Brother W. MeCullough, P.M.; S.M., Brother Alexander Dewar, P.M.; S.W., Brother Win. Wilkinson ; J.W., Brother Win. Laird ; Treasurer, Brother R. Farrell ; Secretary, Brother Tlios. Cantley ; 5.1)., Brother Charles •Johnston ; J.D., Brother W. C. Mirtin ; D.C., Brother li. A. H. Kitchens, P.M.; S.S., -Brother W. Caron ; I.G. Brother R. W. Brown ; Tyler, Brother E. Tonga. Brother McCullough was elected member of the Hall Committee. After the Lodge had been duly closed the brethren reassembled in the lower hall, where an excellent and suitable spread was tastefully laid by Mrs. Tonge, which was thoroughly appreciated. The usual Masonic toasts were honoured, and the brethren enjoyed a number of musical selections and recitations contributed by some of those present. The quarterly communication of the Provincial Grand Lodge, .Scottish Constitution, was also held on Monday evening Brother W. McCullough, i). P.G.M., presiding in the absence of the P.G.M. Brother Sir F. Whilaker, and Bro. Graham, D.G.M., •S.C., and his officers, attended as visitors, and were suitably received. The following- brethren were selected officers of the P.G. Beaeo/i ; Mirfin, Assistant Beacon; J. Edgar, Bible Bearer; Rev. F. Gould, Chaplain; Rev. William Calder, Assistant ; Hendry, 1). of Ceremonies; J. Movlan, Sword Bearer; Win. Wilkinson, Marshal; J. Cleave, Architect; and W. Bennett, Inner Guard.

The regular monthly meeting of Lodge Ara, N.Z. Constitution, was held at Freemasons' fall, Princes-street, last evening. There was a large attendance of members and visitors, but the business was of the ordinary routine character, and was soon disposed of.
