Students of Dante will welcome the announcement that a new English prose translation will soon be issued of the immortal " Divina Commedia," by Prof. Charles Eliot Norton, of Harvard University, who is recognised as an authority on all matters relating to Dante and his works. The translation, which will fill three volumes, will be accompanied by copious explanatory notes. Professor Hartley declares that we may expect watercolour drawings to last 400 years, provided they are protected from th® influence of direct sunlight.
