It is under the supervision of the Head-master, who, with some of the Assistant , Masters, takes part in the instruction of the moro advanced girls. But it is distinct from tho Boys' Side, though for the present, of necessity, carried on the same building. The class-rooms on the ; southern side, to which there is a separate entrance, i and the adjacent portion of the grounds, havo been r cutoff by suitable partitions from the rest of the ; premises, for tho exclua.ve use of the girls. FEES.—These are: For Pupils in the Lower School, if under the age of thirteen years, £2 10s per Term ; for all others, C 3 las per Term, except that, for two members of one family, both chargeable with the higher fee, it is reduced to £3s 3s each. All Fees are payable in advance to the Treasurer, who attends at tho school to collect them, on the first Tuesday and the following .Monday in each Term. COURSE OK INSTRUCTION.Tho ordinary i course comprises the usual English subjects, Mathematics (including Arithmetic), Writing, Drawing, Latin, French, and Natural Science. Greek and German will bo introduced should a sufficient de- [ maud arise. Tho study of Latin is optional. Bookkeeping and Mensuration are amongst the alternai tive subjects for boys. Pupils who have commenced with the ordinary course may, at the beginning of [ any term, substitute the alternative subjects for Latin. Drill and Gymnastic Exercises are compulsory for all not specially exempted. WORKSHOP.—There is a suitable workshop, in which instruction and practice in Carpentering, Joining, and Turning can be obtained before or after school hours.
