London, January 22. There is some excitement over the secrecy observed with respect to the inquest on the Duke of Bedford. He shot himself through the heart in the presence of two attendants. The press censure the coroner. The press condemns the authorities for allowing the Duke of Bedford's body to be cremated prior to the inquest being held, when it was known death had been caused by suicide.
