MR. FRANK BRADLEY'S ORGAN RECITAL.
Mr. Frank Bradley gave his fifth organ recital last evening. The programme was as follows :—Concerto No. 8, C minor (Handel) ; Carrillion's I)e Dunkerque (Turpin) ; Sonata No. 5, D major, four movements (Mendelssohn); Overture in F minor (Morandi) ; Prelude and Fugue, G major (Bach) ; Melody in F sharp (Guilmant); March in F major (Guilmaut). The Concerto of Handel's was executed with grand effect. In the Sonata by Mendelssohn the beautiful chorale was given out on the diapasons, and played in a dignified manner. The charming movement in B minor was tastefully played, and the closing chorale was given with grand effect. In the rendering of Bach's Prelude and Fugue Mr. Bradley displayed great skill, the subject of the fugue being well marked throughout. Morandi's Overture in F minor was most brilliantly performed, his phrasing and accentuation being quite a feature. A skilful rendering of the effective March in F major of Guilmant's brought the recital to a close. There was a good attendance of the public—the best of the series—among those present being Bishop Luck. This evening Mr. .Bradley gives an extra recital, commencing at five p.m.
