THE PUBLIC LIBRARIES ACT.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. A poll of the ratepayers was taken to-day, to decide whether the Public Libraries Act shall be brought into force in Wellington. It resulted in 929 votes for and 337 against the proposal.
