The Canterbury Diocesan Synod had a discussion as to whether the Bishop of Christchurch should bo styled "Lord Bishop," and at last decided in t!ie negative, being apparently largely influenced by a statement of the bishop himself to the effect that it was " utterly wrong" to give him such a title.
